This is not your typical food blog...
In fact, nothing about me or what I'm interested in is typical and that's the way that I love it!
So if those first 2 sentences got your attention then you will enjoy my blog ;)

I wanted to create something like this for a while now, but the final deciding factor that made me actually do it was when my friend Maria saw me posting my homemade food on Instagram and she said "You should make a food blog!".  Also, I had quite a lot of friends and people in general asking me for recipes of food I posted, asking me for fitness advice, and telling me I motivate them with what I do. I'm very addicted to working out and staying fit! But there are much worse addictions out there...

I always loved to dance and I'm currently ADDICTED to pole dancing. I love what it's done for my body and makes me feel like a sexy, flying, superhuman!  I love to feel sexy and feminine. I also love to be athletic, strong, have tons of energy, and feel happy when I look at myself naked in the mirror! I like to educate people about what it is that us pole dancers do because for those people out there that don't know much about it, tend to commonly associate it with "stripping" but it is in fact, very different! It's becoming more and more common in gyms as a form of exercise, dance studios, and tv shows. It has grown into a large community of gorgeous and passionate people who teach, perform,  and have a great love for what they do. So you will see me mention it quite a bit in my blog.

Eating foods that are good for my body and mind and also exercising and taking care of my body have made me a happier and more confident person. I don't eat the way I do or try to look a certain way based on what people tell me I should, or what society says. I do it because it makes me feel good and lets me do the things that I love to do. I never feel that I deprive myself, starve myself, or make strict rules to live by. There seems to be a common thought associated with "healthy" food that says it doesn't taste as good, or that I'm not "living" if I don't indulge in sweets and junk food all the time.. I find that to be a bizarre way of thinking but unfortunately, it's more common than it should be. So, this blog will include lots of recipes, not all of them my own, that are healthy but also delicious and satisfying. All of them are strictly vegetarian or vegan, since I don't eat meat, but I think even the meat eaters out there will enjoy them. I tend to search for recipes in magazines and online a lot. I'm just a girl who's trying to learn and be a better cook, I'm not a professional cook, dietician, nutritional counselor, or any other kind of expert in the nutrition field. I'm just strictly sharing my progress and results as I go and hoping people will benefit from them and enjoy them. If you have special needs or questions fit for a expert, please seek one out. I'll also post about my daily workout routines and lifestyle in general. And whatever else seems relevant or interesting!

Since it's starting to feel like Fall in NY, I'm going to start out with some pumpkin recipes. Pumpkin is one of my favorite things about the Fall.
